Ken asks…
just signed 2yr contract w/ Verizon, being screwed, what can I do without ruining my credit?
I signed a two year contract with Verizon Wireless about 4 months ago. Two lines with 700 shared..
Yet somehow, EVERY month, Ive had to call and complain about “data charge”, or “service charge” that shouldnt be there and they appologize and remove it.
I recently set my account to automaticaly pay the bill on time from my checkings. Apparently it didnt go through because I had to do it online manually the day after the bill was due. Now I have to pay a $20 late fee?
A few hours late, and my bill is over $100, a bill that should never be over $79 with taxes.
Not only have they done that stuff, the service is bad. I get HORRIBLE reception, me and my fiance both. Calls drop and voicemails dont reach the phone until hours, or sometimes days later. “Americas Most Reliable Network“, there are several places where I get no service.
How can I get the number to corporate without playing ring around the rosy over the phone? What can I do?
Thought about not paying but dont want bad credit

I went through this. (all the networks are doing this not putting messages through).
Drop the automatic bill pay. You will get screwed at some point. Call a few times and get case numbers and names from whatever person. See what happens. You will be making a paper trail. If you get someone who speaks almost no english hang up until you get someone who does.
Then once you have that ask for the “senior resolution specialist”. Not the next manager up at a call center but that person. They can actually do something.
Yes you are going to have to mess with it and it will take time. Otherwise it will become a credit issue. But take heart. I went to it and actually got 3 months for free.

I’d say go to a customer service branch personally and iron this out. People find it hard to get fishy and cunning in person and make sure you read any documentation and receipts and keep them in case they try to play the “Oh I forgot” game..

proof read this pLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
With the massive advertisements and VNRs taking control of television programs, media bias also play a main factor that have change the television more entertained. Most the news networks like Fox News had taken a media bias on the conservative and liberal division. Most of the news networks of the United States are more conservative than liberal. Most television networks are more conservative for the main reason is to keep their relationships with the corporations. No corporations will want to place their ads a news program is covering any unwanted governmental scandal stories. This is how the corporations and government work together according to Manuel Valenzuela:
Using fear and the threat of insecurity to manipulate the people, corporate media, in bed with government, over the years having become the mouthpiece of government control, unleashes a barrage of propaganda, in images and pro-war commentators, to arouse in the population the false sense of security that justifies military action. This way, debate is silenced and dissent is disappeared on the airwaves as once again the corporate media, the gatekeepers of information, allow us only to see and hear the point of view they want us to incorporate into our psyche. Voices of reason and of intelligence are ignored, banished from imparting important thoughts of wisdom, thus making it virtually impossible for the population to ever know there are other options besides the horror of war. (Valenzuela, par.9).
All the televisions want the corporations gold money; programs stay away from undesired government stories and cover more conservatives’ bias to make the corporations happy. According to new research in the Washington Times, ““Red-taste” conservatives love Fox News, are suspicious of Hollywood and ignore arty programming…” (Harper, par. 2). Besides conservative supporter network, Fox News Channel is the rated first of the most watch cable news network. No cable news network has over rated the Fox News Channel. Most of the cable news networks desired to replace Fox News Channel by copying all the features of Fox News Channel obtains. For examples, most of the news networks have the alerts credit in the bottom of the television such as CNN network. All the news networks will have to become conservative supporters to gain the huge audience like Fox News Channel.

Whats wrong with Universal Health Care?
On the Sunday, December 14, edition, of Meet the Press, former governor Mitt Romney accused American workers of causing Americ’s “current financial crisis”. Mitt Romney claim that the American worker costs about $172.00 per person, is the main reason why America keeps losing jobs. Mitt Romney then claimed that other nations spend about $50.00 less, per worker, which makes their products more competitive. This maybe true, but, as the Democrat woman, present that day said “Other nations pay out less money because their nations have a national healthcare network in place. I have to give Mitt Romney credit, though. Even against proven, verifiable, facts, he maintained his position that corporate tax cuts are the only way to save American jobs. As everyone knows, and many agree, health care costs are a primary reason why labor costs are so high, in America. Despite this, the Republican party remains adamantly in opposition, to a national healthcare system. Even though this would reduce costs, possibly by billions of dollars per year. Instead, the Republicans remain adamant that tax vouchers, good only on March 15, are the only solution, to the healthcare problem. How can American business be competitive when workers face health care costs, of $1,000+ per day, for illness or injury? How can workers, denied quality health care, be expected to be competitive, while fighting losing battles, with debilitating diseases? If healthy workers are the key to business, then isn’t national health care also a key, since healthy workers are more productive? If so, whats wrong with Universal Health Care?

Again. Maybe someone will get it.
Number 1 – the gov’t cannot do anything well. Think Katrina, Social Security, Medicare…do you really want DC to control your healthcare?
2 – not in the Constitution.
3 – forces healthy to pay for sick. Better to let people shop & get discounts for a healthy lifestyle.
I think that should be sufficient for this venue.
